Martin Magyar (@hermetica_tattoo) – the new Loveink Ambassador!

Time to introduce the second ambassador of the 7th edition of our competition! Meet the man who tells stories with photographic precision through black and grey realism – Martin Magyar, known as @hermetica_tattoo. A tattoo artist with nearly a decade of experience who not only evolves his own style but has also built his own studio – Hermetica Tattoo in Kobylnica. A place with soul, character, and a vibe you feel the moment you walk in.

Martin's work is technically flawless and marked by a distinctive sense of contrast. Portraits? That’s his thing – a constant challenge and a mirror of his progress. For Martin, tattooing isn't just a job; it's a way of life, an art form that grew out of his early passion for realistic drawing.

We asked him a few questions to help you get to know his story better:

What made you want to join the Loveink Ambassador project? Definitely my relationship with the Loveink team and the events they organized – like the workshop with Karol and James. Always great energy and valuable experience.

How did your passion for tattooing begin? It all started with realistic drawing, which I’ve practiced since I was a kid. As I got older, it naturally evolved into tattooing – a different, but equally captivating form of art.

Your favorite tattoo style? Hands down: black and grey realism.

A tattoo you never get bored of doing? Portraits. First, because replicating someone you’ve never seen before is a real challenge – especially when the client knows them well and will spot any inconsistency. Second, because it’s the best way to see my own progress.

Is there any tattoo you would never do? Anything that goes against my personal values.

Do you remember your first tattoo? Of course – I have it on the top of my foot. Maybe it’s not technically perfect, but it holds a lot of sentimental value for me.

Which tattoo are you most proud of? Hard to pick just one – I feel proud of every piece that marks a stage of evolution for me, where I leave a certain level of knowledge behind.

Your biggest success? The people I meet along the way and the ones with whom I build Hermetica Tattoo. It's not just a place, it’s a community.

Your biggest source of inspiration? A certain person – my mentor. Without them, I wouldn't be who I am or where I am today.

Your favorite Loveink product? You probably already know! ;)

The biggest challenge in the tattoo industry today? Proving your worth through quality and uniqueness instead of competition. You can’t measure a tattoo like a 100-meter race. Everyone interprets a design differently – and that’s the beauty of it. Let’s ditch rivalry and support each other instead.

The most common mistake people make when getting their first tattoo? Not choosing Hermetica Tattoo! ;) But seriously – not matching the design and theme to the artist's style. Every artist has their own line and character. Never just pick a random design off the internet :))

Martin, welcome aboard!
